What's new

  1. Open to everyone

    • TheBay24 no longer asks for a site password. Anyone can browse listings, sellers and categories.
    • Anyone can create an account. The invite code is no longer needed.
    • The imprint and the contact page now name the operating company, TheBay24 Marketplace QLLC.
    • On phones and tablets the start page shows the whole TheBay24 picture, with the headline and search below it instead of over it.
    • New category Properties with Apartments, Houses, Villas, Land, Commercial and Holiday homes. A property listing can state whether it is for sale or for rent, rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, living area, plot size, year built and furnishing.
    • The terms, the wallet and the Bay Balance card now say who holds the coins: Tokenport, a third-party payment operator. TheBay24 does not hold crypto.
    • Sub-category tiles without their own picture now show part of the category banner instead of a plain dark box, and a category with a single sub-category no longer stretches its two tiles across the page.

  2. Digital products

    • New category Digital products with Online courses, E-books, Digital art, Software and templates, and Downloads.
    • Digital listings can state the delivery method, file format and licence.
    • On a digital item the page explains that the seller delivers the file, link or access in the chat after payment.

  3. Bay Wishes explained

    • A short guide on Saved items shows the three steps: save, share, receive. The full story is on the new How Bay Wishes works page, linked in the footer.
    • Empty Saved items and My Bay now say that your saved items are also your wishlist.

  4. A page for what's new

    • This page. Every change to TheBay24 shows up here, newest first, in plain words.

  5. Invited testers only

    • The site now asks for a password before it opens, and sign-up needs an invite code. The demo accounts and demo listings are gone; everything you see from here on is real.

  6. Bay Wishes, part one

    • Share your saved items as a wishlist: private, by link, or public on your seller page.
    • Gift it: anyone with the link can buy an item from your wishlist for you, with their name, an alias or anonymously, and a message. You receive it like any purchase.

  7. Private and business sellers

    • Sellers choose Private or Business in Settings. Business sellers show their company details on their profile and carry a badge on their listings.
    • Filter Explore and categories by seller type.

  8. Proof of hand-over and disputes

    • Sellers can attach a note and up to four photos when they hand an item over; the buyer sees them before confirming.
    • A buyer who reports a problem can add photos, the seller can answer once with photos, and the TheBay team decides: refund, close, or complete for the seller.

  9. Deal Room improvements

    • Decline an offer or a counter-offer; the other side sees it immediately.
    • Cancel an unpaid order from inside the chat.
    • Follow sellers and see their new listings under Followed sellers.
    • Private View hides your balance amounts with one click, and remembers the choice.
    • TheBay24 is worldwide: the copy no longer talks about "nearby".

  10. Bay Balance safety

    • Withdrawals can be paused per coin by the team when something looks wrong, with the reason shown in your wallet.
    • Coin and network logos are served from TheBay's own storage.

  11. Bay Balance

    • Your Bay Balance: sales land there when an order completes, top up through Tokenport in BTC, ETH, USDC, USDT or GLAM, pay purchases from the balance, send to another member, withdraw to your own wallet.
    • Listings show the price in crypto next to the euro price, from live rates.

  12. Order flow

    • Completion takes both sides: the seller hands over, the buyer confirms receipt. Unconfirmed hand-overs complete automatically after seven days, with a reminder on day five.
    • Cancel an unpaid order: the seller with a reason, or either side by asking the other to agree.
    • Unpaid Tokenport orders whose payment link expired are cancelled automatically.

  13. TheBay24 is live

    • thebay24.com is online: listings with photos and videos, 12 categories with sub-categories, search and filters, the Deal Room with offers and counter-offers, buy with crypto through Tokenport or cash on hand-over, ratings, saved items, reports and blocks, English and German.
